Machinist (m/f/d)

Your day starts with a briefing on tasks and safety rules. You then check and set up CNC turning and milling machines up to 16 m in length, load programs and change tools. During production you monitor the process, carry out quality checks and make adjustments to meet specifications. At the end you record all data for quality assurance.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare and set up CNC lathes and milling machines (centre distance up to 16 m)
• Mount, reposition and remove turbine, slip-ring and generator shafts (length up to 16 m, weight up to 100 t)
• Machining and inspecting shafts
• Troubleshooting or initiating corrective actions on large CNC lathes
• Operating Sinumeric 840D controls and programming in ShopTurn

Your profile

• Completed vocational training as a machinist (or comparable)
• Several years of relevant professional experience
• Sound knowledge of metal-cutting manufacturing processes
• Very good Sinumeric skills
• High quality awareness and ability to work independently
• Willingness to work shifts
