For our SCADA team in the Services business unit, we are looking for experienced validation engineer, looking to drive continuous improvement activities and development of our systems.

You will become part of a dynamic and engaged Agile team, focused on delivering high value to our customers.

As Test Engineer, you will take part in shaping the future wind energy by being part of a solution that is deployed in power plants all around the world and as member of an agile team you need to manage the product testing and maintain focus with deep understanding of agile values.

You shall be ready to manage yourself to ensure projects get executed as defined and deliverables get delivered at time

Responsibilities of the position:

  • Analysis of the inputs needed to establish a proper test campaign at a product level: requirement specifications, test evidence from previous test campaigns, and results from automated testing environments and others. 
  • Definition of the strategy for a test campaign using different testing resources and combining verification and validation activities in manual and automated way. 
  • Elaboration of corresponding documentation: test plan, validation report and acceptance criteria.
  • Execution of the product test case campaigns combining manual and automatic tests.
  • Analysis and report of results obtained from test campaign execution: 
  • Consolidation of results in document and/or a testing campaign management system.
  • * Consolidation of testing process KPIs. 
  • Collaboration, in the procurement of testing resources needed for test campaigns. This includes: prototypes, test instrumentation, test tooling, auxiliary equipment, simulators and real environments.
  • Involvement in certification processes when SW testing activities are a driver for them. 
  • Identification of requirements for tools used in SW testing. Simulation testbenches, automated testing environments and other tools related with test campaigns management.
  • Consults Product Managers and R&D Project Managers in the requirement definition concerning the testability of the requirement
  • Performs requirements verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete and conforming to standards.
  • Trails test procedures and may execute complex tests.
  • Participates in design reviews. Identifies potential technical problems or design flaws.
  • Participates in the evolution/implementation of product development processes and tools.
  • Supports ways to reuse components across designs and/or projects.
  • Analyzes customer feedback.
  • Interacts with internal stakeholders such as support representatives, developers, technical writers, project managers, and quality assurance personnel.

Required Skills:

  • You have extensive knowledge and working experience (5+ years) in testing software, including create and update validation plan with test sets and test cases, create and describe in a comprehensive way bugs or complaints of the tested features, etc.
  • Expertise in test automation, BDD, Ruby scripting or C# scripting, Cucumber or Selenium, API Rest, etc
  • Automation tests (Front end and Back end) for applications using the test automation tools mentioned above
  • You are able to communicate fluently in Spanish and English (both orally and written).
  • Desired knowledge not mandatory: Jira, execution in Jenkins, agile methodologies

  • The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology or equivalent professional experience (5 + years).

  • Also a highly result-oriented team player but able to work independently and with a positive attitude and where it comes naturally to build and maintain good and rewarding relationships.
