Advanced Technologies Design Engineer (f/m/d) – Systems (Gas Turbines)

Your Day at a Glance
As an R&D Systems Engineer (Gas & Steam Turbines) you will model, simulate and optimise entire systems and develop powerful software solutions. You will connect component know-how with system behaviour and drive forward digital-twin and AI-based applications.

Your Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain gas-turbine system models (thermodynamics, mechanics, controls)
  • Develop and deploy performance and transient simulation tools
  • Automation and multi-disciplinary optimisation for design trade studies
  • Apply AI/ML and digital-twin technologies for prediction and decision-making
  • Align with component teams for consistent system integration
  • Requirements management, architecture development, validation and training
Your Profile
  • Master’s degree or 3+ years’ professional experience (or PhD) in gas-turbine / aero-engine environment
  • Experience with system simulation (e.g. NPSS) and thermodynamic cycle analysis
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Fortran, Bash, C/C++ on Linux plus GitLab
  • Knowledge of control systems, sensors, data acquisition and cloud HPC (Azure, AWS)
  • Familiarity with digital-twin and AI/ML frameworks in a systems context
