For our EHS, Quality and Security department, we are looking for a Chemical Engineer to join our team in Aalborg and assist with evaluation and risk assessment of chemicals and materials for our blades.

How to contribute to our vision:

The Chemical Engineer will be part of a 12-person team in Aalborg working primarily with the chemicals used in the wind turbine blade lifecycle. You will support the team with HSE evaluation, risk assessment of processes involving chemicals, exposure-assessments and measurements (chemicals, dust, etc.), PPE, and cooperation with local production management, global material- and process-engineers, and the working environment organization.

In short, you will be responsible for:

  • Promotion of Zero Harm Culture (helping to create an inclusive, diverse, safe working environment for everybody)

  • Assuring ATEX compliance

  • Advising procurement in decision making

  • Creating chemical risk assessments

  • Chemical Management in the full life cycle

  • Determining and setting PPE requirements

  • Developing and proposing methods of maintaining effective safety management systems

  • Supporting implementation of safety guidelines

  • Collecting, evaluating, and compiling safety data

  • Supporting risk assessments and planning and conducting HSE audits and assessments

  • Supporting and initiating incident investigation

What you need to make a difference:

Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we are also looking for:

A candidate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering. It is an advantage if you have a few years of working experience, but we are also open to fresh and motivated graduates.

We will prioritize candidates already based in Denmark as it is essential that you possess excellent Danish language skills, written and spoken.

As a person, we are looking for someone curios, responsible, and structured with excellent communication and team-player skills. You are motivated by providing quality results within the deadlines and are happy to work in a dynamic organization and environment.  We are a big and international company, so it is also important you have great English language skills, both written and spoken.
