Generator Systems Engineer

Working in close collaboration with an international team, you will be working with product and project managers to ensure that the work is executed according to the project specifications and internal processes.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Instrumentation, control, and electrical systems development for generators in power plants and factories: full responsibility for control and protection systems, optionally excitation systems
• Design and documentation of generator control system: single-line diagram (SLD) of protection, trip matrix, cabinet layout, schematics of protection, synchronization and excitation systems, based on project specific requirements
• Development of protection software (DIGSI or similar SW environment)
• Perform factory acceptance testing, installation supervision, and on-site commissioning
• Technical partner for go-to-market and bid management for preparing technical concepts and descriptions, time schedules, and cost calculations
• Customer interaction on-site and in technical meetings
• Improvement and development in all above fields

What You Bring 

• Successfully completed university studies in the field of electrical / mechatronic engineering or drive technology
• Experience in the field of electrical protection technology, preferably generator protection
• Background in electrical design (circuit diagrams, SLD, Short-Circuits, Power Flow)
• Basic knowledge of static or rotating excitation equipment or drive and converter technology is desirable
• Willingness to participate in a specialist group in an international environment as well as to carry out commissioning activities on construction sites
• Good communication skills. Fluent in English - Mandatory. German is a plus.
• Willingness to work abroad worldwide (approximately up to 30% of the time)
