Data Scientist (f/m/d)

At 1KOMMA5° we are building Europe’s leading energy software platform Heartbeat, creating a virtual power plant that links customers’ PV, batteries, heat pumps and EV chargers to boost the profitability of distributed energy systems. Our one-stop shop lets every household and business buy and install intelligent energy solutions quickly and professionally, enabling climate-neutral living, heating and mobility. Simultaneously, our technology team advances Heartbeat to connect customers worldwide to electricity markets and always supply the cheapest, cleanest tariff.

Your mission

• Design, build, evaluate, deploy and operate data solutions for complex, loosely defined questions around energy-system components and processes
• Foster a hypothesis-driven innovation culture together with product management, procurement and supply-chain stakeholders
• Lead data projects end-to-end, solve complex problems and communicate insights precisely to enable decisions
• Own data pipelines from ingestion to visualization, supported by our platform teams

Your profile

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or similar, plus experience working with business stakeholders throughout product development
• Proven record of building data pipelines with Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with at least one dashboard tool (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
• Comfortable in fast-moving, cross-functional teams; result-oriented and collaborative mindset
• Experience with continuous delivery, cloud infrastructure (ideally Google Cloud) and DevOps practices
• Excellent English; German is a plus

Technologies: Python, ML libraries, GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow), SQL, Terraform

Bonus points: Know-how in energy products, installation business, warehousing & logistics; additional software-development experience; passion for climate tech
