In our HVDC Communication Team we test and validate network infrastructures, communication interfaces and HMI concepts for innovative HVDC projects at our test center. During worldwide commissioning we ensure flawless functionality and quality of our HVDC systems.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Technically flawless, on-time and economical commissioning of HVDC systems worldwide, focusing on data networks and SCADA-level network communication components
• Commissioning, support and control of TCP/IP-based network infrastructure and HMI concepts including application-specific adaptation
• Time synchronisation plus local and remote signal converters and interface to all signal suppliers
• Troubleshooting and testing communication interfaces together with customers and partners
• Support quality, risk and claim management
• Participate in improvement programs (Lean, reviews, lessons learned)

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or communications engineering
• 3+ years network administration experience (switches, routers), basic HMI and PC administration (hardware, virtualisation)
• Preferred: OSHA 10 (min.), OSHA 30 (preferred), NFPA 70E (supplemental training)
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, RADIUS, network security and monitoring
• Ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly
• Circuit diagram and electrical systems understanding
• Fluent English
• 100 % travel availability
• Flexibility for national/international assignments
• Team player with strong communication, proactive attitude, conflict management and sound decision-making skills
