Customs Classification Specialist

Your Day-to-Day

As a member of the Global Customs Classification team you will determine accurate customs tariff codes for Siemens Energy entities across North and Latin America. You gather data and documentation and classify goods according to the Harmonized System for multiple jurisdictions in the region.

The role reports to the Global Classification Team and works closely with Customs Operations, Regulatory teams and internal business partners.

How You Make an Impact

• Ensure complete classification information by coordinating with Engineering, R&D, Projects and other functions.
• Classify goods under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule based on technical attributes.
• Monitor and control classification processes.
• Actively contribute to continuous team improvement.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements.

What You Bring

• At least 2 years of HTS classification experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Law or related field.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written & oral); application only accepted with English résumé.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Experience with customs/ERP systems (SAP, MIC, Integration Point) preferred.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
