Close-Loop Control Engineer – FACTS Systems

Your impact at a glance

As a Close-Loop Control Engineer you will design, model and implement control and automation logic for Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS). You analyse the dynamic behaviour of electrical systems and develop controllers that drive them into desired operating states.

Your responsibilities

  • Engineering of control and automation logic for STATCOM, SVC, series compensation and other FACTS technologies
  • Setting-up and testing control hardware and software in the factory and on customer sites
  • Participation in commissioning and acceptance of FACTS plants in India and abroad (up to 5–6 months continuous travel)
  • Preparation of design & test reports, O&M manuals, FAT/SAT documentation
  • After-sales support and remote maintenance of commissioned systems

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in control engineering for FACTS or comparable high-voltage systems
  • Sound knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, preferably with real-time and embedded software
  • Familiar with IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, Modbus and cyber-security in power systems
  • Knowledge of SICAM A8000, Beckhoff controllers, WinCC and HMI visualisation
  • Willingness for short-notice travel to remote locations; fluent in English and Hindi
  • Strong team player with high commitment
