Proposal Engineer - Small Steam Turbines

Your Day in a Nutshell

As a Proposal Engineer in the Application Team you will be a key contributor to Siemens Energy’s global after-sales service for steam turbines. Working closely with sales, engineering, production and supply-chain departments, you will develop customer-specific solutions from both technical and commercial perspectives to ensure our clients receive optimum proposals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Analyse customer enquiries and derive application-based requirements
• Perform thermodynamic calculations and apply knowledge of rotor dynamics and blade stresses
• Evaluate mechanical design aspects including control, lube-oil and shaft-sealing systems
• Prepare cost calculations and sales prices in accordance with Siemens Energy policies
• Draft and submit proposals aligned to customer specifications
• Hand over order details to project management and take part in kick-off meetings
• Support development of sales tools and training material

What You Bring

• University degree in engineering, preferably energy engineering
• Experience with rotating machinery (steam turbines, pumps, compressors); graduates from the steam-turbine field are welcome
• Strong communication and organisational talent, high self-motivation and goal orientation
• Fluent English; second foreign language advantageous
• Willingness to travel (approx. 15 %)
