Electrical Engineering Scope

Our Electrical Engineering teams design, build and test every electronic and software component for flight and ground systems: custom circuit boards, EOL test equipment, sensor integration, real-time flight control and communication. We collaborate closely with mechanical, embedded, software and systems engineering to create scalable, high-performance products for life-saving missions.

Your Role

• Prototype next-gen battery-charging electronics for harsh environments
• Architect ground-support electronics for take-off and landing assistance
• Develop and deploy test equipment (EOL stations) for design validation and production
• Support validation campaigns to ensure avionics meet reliability targets
• Perform root-cause investigation on test, flight or field failures

Required

• Completed at least sophomore year of EE or related B.S.; M.S. and Ph.D. candidates welcome
• Designed and tested a custom PCB (working or not—we want the story)
• Built something that moves under its own power (plane, car, drone, rocket, rover …)
• Collaborative experience: clubs, competitions, jobs or friend projects

Nice to Have

• Robotics/automation or sensor data experience
• Object-oriented programming (C++, Java)
• Cloud or big-data tools (AWS, GCP, Spark, Hadoop)

Logistics

Full-time, in-person internship in South San Francisco or Dallas, May/June – August 2026. Compensation: $38–42/hr plus housing stipend, overtime pay and relocation support. Candidates are limited to three applications within 30 days.
