Octopus Energy Generation (OEGEN) is one of Europe’s largest investors in renewable power, managing >£7 bn of wind, solar and storage assets. We are looking for a system-savvy finance professional to keep our core finance platforms (SAP, Yooz, Horizon) running flawlessly while we scale.
Key responsibilities
- Own day-to-day finance system operations: user access, master data, workflows, month-end close and reconciliations
- Maintain purchase-order and invoice-approval processes, fix exceptions and document controls for audit
- Run system health checks, data validations and parallel tests during upgrades and integrations
- Partner with Asset Management to update structures, ownership changes and reporting requirements for new and existing portfolios
- Liaise with vendors and third-party support teams to implement, simplify and automate processes
What we need
Essential- Hands-on experience administering finance or business-critical systems
- Solid grasp of GL, AP/AR, approval hierarchies, controls and reconciliations
- Track record of supporting system change or migration projects
- Detail- and control-oriented with clear, practical communication skills
Desirable- Experience with SAP, Yooz, Horizon or equivalent platforms
- Background in infrastructure, asset-backed or investment-management finance
- Familiarity with SOX / audit frameworks and external vendor management
Contract & location
12-month fixed-term contract. Hybrid London: average 3 days per week in our Central London office.
