Head of Analytics (m/f/d)

Octopus Energy Germany, part of the Octopus Energy Group, is building a data-driven, renewables-based energy system in Germany focused on smart-meter roll-out, dynamic tariffs, flexibility solutions and customer-centric technology. The Finance function acts as the central control unit, covering financial & receivables processes, pricing, procurement economics, balancing-group management, margin steering, legal and risk, delivering forward-looking commercial transparency and solid economic decision-making.

As Head of Analytics you report directly to the CFO and own the analytical foundation for pricing, procurement, balancing-group management and contribution margins. You develop consistent, company-wide margin and profitability logic, integrate valuation models across pricing & procurement, create transparency on portfolio and forecasting effects, support the executive team in strategic scenarios and build a high-performance analytics team.

Your profile:

• Several years in senior analytics, commercial finance or strategy roles
• Proven track record building robust bottom-up models (unit economics, margin models)
• Quick grasp of complex market mechanisms and economic linkages
• Comfortable handling uncertainty and imperfect data
• Strong credibility with senior stakeholders
• Leadership experience in building and managing teams

Energy-sector know-how (pricing, procurement, forecasting) is a plus. You think strategically, communicate clearly and deliver pragmatically.
