As a High Voltage Electrical Engineer you will design and validate cutting-edge HV AC and DC equipment. Your expertise in breakdown mechanisms and insulation coordination shapes the next generation of high-voltage systems. You define architectures, validate concepts and drive innovation from research to market-ready products.

Your Impact

• Engineer and test HV AC and DC components such as breakers, cables, transformers and insulation systems
• Analyse breakdown phenomena to ensure robust, reliable equipment
• Optimise insulation coordination and protection strategies for HV networks
• Coordinate with electro-mechanical and construction teams for integrated system performance
• Support R&D and innovation projects with technical insight
• Document results and contribute to technical publications, standards and internal knowledge bases

Your Profile

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field
• Proven experience in HV equipment design, breakdown mechanisms and insulation coordination
• Hands-on expertise with HV AC and DC systems including component testing
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and construction preferred
• Analytical mindset, structured approach and strong communication skills
• Fluency in English; German at C1 level advantageous
