Health, Safety & Environment Specialist – Offshore Construction
Vestas is looking for an experienced HSE Specialist to safeguard health, safety and environmental protection during offshore wind turbine installation across the APAC region, based in Cheongsong-gun.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the HSE strategy for offshore wind turbine pre-installation, installation and commissioning
- Perform risk assessments, hazard identification and mitigation for all project phases
- Ensure compliance with international, local and Vestas HSE regulations and standards
- Design and deliver HSE training programmes for offshore personnel and contractors
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses; define root causes and corrective actions
- Conduct HSE audits, site inspections and report findings to project management
- Interface with regulators, contractors and other stakeholders on HSE matters
- Drive continuous improvement of HSE performance and site safety culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or similar field
- 5–7 years of HSE management experience in offshore wind, marine or comparable energy projects
- Strong knowledge of Korean HSE legislation and labour law
- Valid Korean HSE licence (Industrial Safety Engineer, Construction Safety Engineer, or equivalent) is mandatory
- In-depth understanding of offshore HSE standards and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in Korean and English plus proven leadership ability
