Quality Control Technician

Oatly – the original oat milk company from Sweden, growing worldwide for 30 years – is expanding its Austin plant and needs bright minds to keep the momentum going. As Quality Control Technician you will guarantee that every product meets the highest food-safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Your responsibilities

• Daily compliance checks on GMP, HACCP and BRC; sign-off production start-up after cleaning and set-up
• Comprehensive sampling and lab testing (microbiology, pH, viscosity, allergens, ATP) of raw materials, in-process and finished goods
• Record results in LIMS, create CoAs, participate in CAPA and internal audits
• Plan consumables, calibrate instruments, initiate service for failing equipment
• Close collaboration with Production, Engineering and Purchasing to drive continuous process improvement
• Maintain clean, safe work environment in line with SOPs and PPE requirements

Your profile

• Aged 18+, fluent English, High-school diploma or GED
• 2+ years laboratory experience in food, microbiology, chemistry or biology; related college coursework preferred
• Detail-oriented, self-driven, strong math and communication skills
• Physical lifting up to 50 lb, work in 38-80 °F, 8-12-h shift standing/walking
