Supplier Quality Engineer (f/m/d) – Large Steel Fabrications & Heavy Machining

Your day-to-day
As Supplier Quality Engineer (f/m/d) you will lead supplier qualification projects for large steel fabrications and heavy machining in an international environment. You coordinate cross-functional teams, secure milestones and budgets, and work closely with Commodity Management, Procurement, Engineering and suppliers. Core tasks include supplier audits, product & process qualification (PPQ), complaint handling via 8D, FMEA and root-cause analysis, implementation of preventive quality measures, cost evaluation of technical changes and continuous-improvement projects.

Your profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Several years of manufacturing experience with complex machined parts, preferably steel-weld fabrication
• Sound knowledge of quality methods (5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA); IWE certificate is a plus
• Fluent German and negotiation-level English; willingness to travel nationally and internationally
