Technical Support Engineer

As a Technical Support Engineer at Vestas you will ensure the stability and performance of our carbon-composite turbine-blade production systems. You monitor equipment, respond to incidents, analyse faults and secure rapid restart of production.

Your responsibilities

• Analyse and optimise existing manufacturing processes
• Develop and test innovative solutions to raise efficiency
• Implement measures that increase capacity while improving safety, quality and cost
• Work closely with production to meet the master schedule
• Perform root-cause analysis of failures and define short- and long-term corrective actions
• Create and maintain technical documentation (process descriptions, work instructions, inspection plans)
• Lead and support projects introducing new equipment, products and technologies
• First-line support for programming and fault-finding on robotics and automation systems
• Train and mentor operators and fellow engineers

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, preferably with electrical/chemical background
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in lean manufacturing, process optimisation and continuous-improvement methods
• Proficient in PTC Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and SAP
• Knowledge of quality management (APQP/PPAP) and EAM systems
• Composite manufacturing experience is an advantage
