ENERCON Canada is seeking a Coordinator – Electrical Grid Operations to provide 24/7 technical support to maintenance and commissioning teams performing work on high-voltage wind-farm assets. The goal is to improve safety, quality, and efficiency during interventions on ENERCON HV switchgear. The role is 100% remote; the successful candidate may live anywhere in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Real-time supervision of HV operations: transformers, circuit breakers, protection relays
- Accurate logging of all interventions and preparation of fault & trend reports
- Develop and approve Technical Service Instructions, LOTO procedures, and code-compliant work methods
- Incident/root-cause analyses; participate in availability-improvement and downtime-reduction projects
- Train technicians and managers; convey complex technical matters clearly
- Feed field findings back to project & engineering teams; monitor regulatory/technology developments
Profile
- Diploma in electrical engineering technology or related trade certificate plus minimum 3 years HV asset operation/maintenance experience
- Hands-on knowledge of MV/HV switchgear, lock-out/tag-out, and applicable electrical codes
- Fluent, precise English communication (French an asset); comfortable presenting to varied audiences
- Analytical, detail-oriented, autonomous, and collaborative
- Valid driver’s licence; willing to travel within Canada and occasionally to Germany (≤6 weeks per year)
- Skills in SAP and MS Office, especially Excel
