Data Acquisition System Technologist

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a member of the Test Operations department, the Data Acquisition System Technologist ensures accurate, high-quality data collection and recording during industrial gas-turbine tests at the Montreal test facilities. You help define measurement-chain configurations, maintain and operate the data acquisition and Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS), safeguard data integrity and provide first-line troubleshooting of measurement and electronic issues.

• Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot DDAS, proDAS, NxDAS, PCS, ECS, CEMS and FTIR systems
• Manage spare-parts inventory and coordinate external calibration services
• Configure data-acquisition systems and ensure instrumentation readiness for each test
• Operate systems during engine tests, perform data replays and investigate anomalies
• Partner with engineering on test-stand upgrades, calibrations and facility projects
• Keep calibration records, update fault trackers and prepare test equipment for development tests

What You Bring

• DEC in Electronics, Instrumentation Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DAS testing, metrology or instrumentation
• Professional attitude, strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive, innovative problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to work flexible schedules and at various test facilities
• French-speaking work environment; fluent English required for international documentation and customer communication

The AGT test team unites testers, DAS technologists and operations, facility and product engineers. Together you run engines, investigate events, maintain and upgrade test equipment.
