Blade Fitter / Turbine Assembler

Your working day

As a Blade Fitter you assemble rotors and stators according to material lists, measure tolerances, read engineering drawings, handle heavy and oversized parts and work with chemicals (preservatives, lubricants). The role is physically demanding and focuses on precision. The position is on a three-shift schedule.

Your responsibilities

• Assembly of rotor and stator components following technical documentation (blade fitting, deburring, sealing, thread cutting …)
• Operating conventional machine tools (milling machine, grinder, shear, press brake …); minor bench and hand work (filing, threading, fitting, hand-sawing, finishing …)
• Reading engineering drawings and material lists
• Using basic measuring instruments (calipers, gauge blocks, micrometer, plug gauges, feeler gauges …); operating angle grinders, hand grinders, files, scrapers, deburring kits and abrasive cloth
• Operating handling equipment (fork-lift trucks, overhead cranes); using pneumatic hammers
• Degreasing and cleaning machined surfaces

What you bring

• Vocational/secondary technical education – mechanical fitter trade
• Ability to work with basic workshop measuring tools
• Skilled in using standard metal-working tools and machines
• Basic knowledge of machine-tool operation
• Physical fitness and good health
• Willingness to work three shifts
