Senior Purchaser

Vestas – the world’s leading wind-energy company – is looking for an experienced Senior Purchaser to join our North American Indirect Procurement team. You will negotiate global sourcing strategies, manage regional suppliers and ensure cost competitiveness, quality and on-time delivery.

Your responsibilities

• Strategically source categories: Business Services, Tooling, CAPEX, MRO, Digital/IT, REFM, Fleet
• Partner with Construction, Service, HR, Production, PM, Engineering, Quality, Legal & Supply Chain to reduce cost
• Develop new and existing suppliers, scale partnerships globally
• Drive procurement initiatives, create business cases and executive presentations
• Analyse market and supplier data, manage risk
• Lead contract negotiations and end-to-end source-to-pay processes
• Act as escalation point for supplier-related issues

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Supply-Chain Management, Engineering or Business
• 2+ years of experience in procurement or supply-chain management
• Strong MS Office, SAP, PowerPoint and Excel skills (Pivot, V-Lookup)
• Proven contract management and negotiation experience
• Analytical mindset, solid business acumen (Cash-Flow, EBIT, inventory)
• Project-management and presentation skills, solution-oriented thinking
• Excellent English; cross-cultural competence
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours across time zones
