<strong>Your responsibilities</strong></p> <p>As Customs Operations Specialist you enable compliant, efficient customs clearance for Siemens Energy’s Canadian import and export transactions while continuously optimizing trade processes in line with Canadian and U.S. regulations.</p> <p><strong>Tasks</strong></p> <ul> <li>Handle daily import & export operations: review customs paperwork, issue broker instructions</li> <li>Analyse clearance delays, aggregate root causes and drive improvement actions with brokers and internal teams</li> <li>Classify HS codes, determine origin, apply free-trade agreements, interpret Incoterms®</li> <li>Assess anti-dumping / countervailing duty scope and steel & aluminium requirements</li> <li>Leverage special Canadian programmes (Temporary Import, Carnets) for cost savings</li> <li>Interface with customs brokers, business units and authorities</li> <li>Support cross-functional projects to implement new regulatory customs requirements</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years customs & international-trade compliance experience</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree or college diploma; CCS designation preferred</li> <li>Sound knowledge of Canadian & U.S. customs law, tariff classification & GRI</li> <li>Hands-on experience with GTM/ERP tools (SAP GTS or similar)</li> <li>Analytical, self-driven, strong communicator</li> <li>Must be Canadian citizen, permanent resident or recognised refugee/asylee</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location & Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hybrid position based in Oakville, Ontario</li> <li>Salary CAD 91,000 – 106,000 per year (7,583 – 8,833 monthly gross)</li> <li>Health & wellness plans, flexible hours, remote work, buy/sell vacation, profit sharing, career development, diversity programmes</li> </ul>
