Your Day at a GlanceAs Customs Regulatory & Advisory Specialist you are the internal expert for Canadian and U.S. customs regulations at Siemens Energy. You advise business units on import/export compliance, assess regulatory risk and develop solutions that meet customs and trade requirements. The role is based in Oakville, Ontario (hybrid).
How You’ll Make an Impact- Lead technical authority on customs & trade regulations for Canada & USA: HS classification, valuation, origin, free-trade agreements, steel/aluminium rules, anti-dumping, Incoterms®
- Prepare binding rulings, post-entry corrections, internal procedures and training material
- Monitor regulatory changes continuously, derive management and business recommendations
- Build and maintain the Canadian Partners in Protection (PIP) supply-chain-security program
- Liaise with customs authorities, internal customers and subsidiaries to ensure smooth import/export processes
What You Bring- University degree or equivalent training plus minimum 5 years customs experience in Canada and the United States
- Demonstrated expertise in complex customs topics: valuation, HS code, FTAs, steel/aluminium regulations
- Certified Customs Specialist credential preferred
- Canadian citizenship or unlimited work permit for Canada (no sponsorship available)
