A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Customs Professional you manage Trade-Compliance activities for Siemens Energy across mainland China, ensuring all necessary customs processes are implemented and followed. You collaborate closely with procurement, production, order management, logistics and customs brokers to automate and continuously improve operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Develop plans and solutions to secure customs compliance and optimize processes in mainland China
• Work with the sub-regional customs team to identify and mitigate local and global trade risks
• Implement customs regulations, monitor internal & external audits and drive corrective actions
• Manage customs brokers and deploy standard operating procedures
• Establish, roll-out and monitor internal Siemens Energy guidelines and related IT solutions
• Design and deliver cross-functional training to relevant stakeholders
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, law or related field
• Proven customs experience, including managing operational units in a matrix organization
• Strong knowledge of China import/export and customs laws plus trade-compliance standards
• Team orientation, decisiveness, assertiveness and a structured, analytical working style
• International project-management background with solid negotiation & presentation skills
• Hands-on experience with customs and ERP systems, requirements specification, testing, roll-out
• Willingness to travel up to 15 %
