For our Power Drive & Mechanicals Procurement category, we are looking for a Category Buyer to lead the Parts Management and Fast Track processes. In coordination with all commodities of the Category, you will be responsible to ensure the right and best optimal project execution activities to be contracted to external suppliers with the aim to ensure on-time, compliant, and complete delivery to reduce costs.

You will work in a global commodity team, being the preferred working location in Spain.

How to contribute to our vision

Your key areas of responsibility will be:

  • ECN / Project implementation: Managing the full sourcing process (RFQs, Negotiations and Supplier Awarding), in coordination with the different commodity teams of the Category.
  • Close cooperation of the Category with the COG N P & SCL teams and any other stakeholders to ensure on-time response, acting as Focal Point.
  • Support to GCM & Lead Buyers in the supplier and commodity management (supplier evaluation, commodity KPIs, etc.).
  • Ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to achieve high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
  • You will ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems in order to ensure the efficiency and compliance of our processes.
  • You will create and maintain strong relationships with our internal customers and external suppliers, also ensuring that the right stakeholders are involved from the start of the various sourcing projects you are managing.

What you need to make a difference:

  • We are looking for someone who has technical experience and has a business education at minimum bachelor level in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics.
  • Candidates should preferably have 3+ years of experience in engineering, procurement and/or operations functions, ideally in a global organization.
  • Being familiar with common IT tools like the Office package or SAP is necessary. It is also preferably to have knowledge of S2C-/ P2P-processes.
  • We will value someone with great negotiation and communication skills, as well as strong people abilities. You will be working closely with our stakeholders and suppliers, so being able to communicate clearly in English is a must.
  • In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
  • Knowledge of Ariba
