Future.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced technical leader to shape and grow our software engineering team as we scale further and build our intelligent EV leasing platform. In this pivotal role you’ll be responsible for our development approach, driving team efficiency & satisfaction, while fostering a collaborative work environment. The rate of technological change has never been faster and you’ll be key in helping Octopus EV succeed in this world. 

What you'll do

Unite the technical vision and integrated platform strategyOwn the composition and squad structure of the engineering and technical teamsScale team - from the existing four squads - to accelerate delivery and improve efficiencyImplement and refine agile methodologies with a bias for outcomes over processCoach team members to foster their personal growth and career developmentLead on the use on KPIs to drive continuous improvement in team outcomesChampion knowledge sharing and best practicesPromote a culture of innovation

What you'll need

5 to 7 years in a leading technology role, particularly in fast paced scale upsTrack record with growing teams while demonstrating continuous improvementExpertise with delivering against a wider technology strategyHistory of mentorship and personal development of team membersA bias for action and getting things doneInterest in sustainability is desirableBackground in software engineering is preferable
