Job Description

Northvolt has an exciting job opening for a Maintenance Planning Engineer in Factory Design & Engineering in Västerås. By accepting this mission, you will take a key role in designing Northvolt Giga Factories to enable safe, sustainable and efficient operability of equipment’s and facilities.

You will join a team of skilled individuals committed to develop world-class giga-factory designs that meet current and future operational demands. As a Maintenance Planning Engineer, you combine your engineering expertise with strategic maintenance planning to ensure our factories are designed to ensure maintenance operations at peak efficiency and safety. Your journey includes strong collaboration with the cross functional factory design team in Västerås and maintenance experts at the different sites.

With your solid professional work experience as maintenance engineer/industrial engineer/process engineer/production engineer you understand the day-to-day operational challenges and needs of a factory. Your expertise will ensure that the factory design not only meets operational needs but also supports long-term sustainability and reliability

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge maintenance concepts and systemswithin the factory design
  • Gather and leverage feedback from key maintenance experts in aninternational setting.
  • Coordinate with the factory design team to integrate maintenanceconsiderations into new designs and modification
  • Develop and implement comprehensive standards for maintenance operationsdesign
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to local site teams during theimplementation of the maintenance concepts

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Engineering degree(Industrial/Process/Production/Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic orsimilar).
  • Track-record of successful leading implementation of advanced technicalprojects in a demanding fast paced production environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment and facility maintenance concepts (TPM,Lean Smart Maintenance, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience within process-driven or discrete process industriessuch as: Automotive, Battery, Packaging, Metal, Semiconductors, Fine Chemicals, Pharma, Food etc. 
  • Valuable experience in multi-cultural environment.

  • Excellent English written and oral skills.
  • Innovative thinking and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to proactively face and drive complex engineering challenges
  • A continuous learning mindset and a willingness to adapt to emergingtechnologies.
