Rotor Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Your area of responsibility

As a mechanical engineer in the rotor-design team of the LGT turbine department (Large Gas Turbine), you develop new rotor components and accompany them right through to industrialization. You evaluate manufacturing deviations, define product documentation (3-D models, drawings, parts lists) and work closely with internal and external manufacturing and procurement teams.

Your tasks

• Design and further development of rotor components for gas turbines
• Structural-mechanical strength and life calculations
• Analysis of manufacturing deviations and supplier defects; development of repair solutions
• Preparation of associated component documentation
• Support with qualification and manufacture of prototypes and series parts

Your profile

• Degree in mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
• Professional experience in design and manufacturing support
• Solid knowledge of design, strength/life calculation, materials technology and production processes
• Project and intercultural experience, ideally with USA/India
• Very good German and English
