Substation Automation System Engineer

Your Contribution to the Team

You take engineering responsibility for high- and medium-voltage substation automation: conception, planning and realisation of HMI/SCADA solutions in accordance with Mexican CFE requirements.

Your Tasks

• Analysis of customer specifications and derivation of control-system requirements
• Development of architecture and concept diagrams for substation automation and communication interfaces (RTU, IED) in compliance with CFE standards
• Configuration, testing and commissioning of RTU/SCADA/HMI systems for HV substations
• Leading and executing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
• Preparation of project-specific documentation (functional design, test protocols, CFE-compliant reports)
• Implementation of cyber-security measures within the project solutions

Your Profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience in HMI/SCADA engineering for power transmission and distribution, focused on the Mexican market
• Sound knowledge of CFE regulations and Mexican standards for control and measurement systems
• Experience with SEL AcSELerator RTAC, Quickset and optionally Zenon
• Solid understanding of OT networks and protocols (IEC 101, IEC 104, IEC 61850)
• Willingness to travel up to 20 %, including USA (valid B1/B2 visa or application in progress)
