Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f/d) Gas Turbine Auxiliaries, Piping

Your Day-to-Day
As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for gas-turbine, steam-turbine and generator auxiliary systems you will qualify, develop and monitor suppliers. Working in a global supply-chain-management process you cooperate with various departments in a multicultural environment – locally and worldwide. Digitalization tools help you optimize processes and you handle non-conformances through containment, root-cause analysis (RCA) and preventive actions for risk mitigation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Supplier qualification: evaluate supplier capabilities, perform audits of quality-management systems & processes.
• Product & process qualification (PPQ): ensure supplier quality throughout the full PPQ cycle; approve suppliers’ manufacturing QC plans.
• Conduct source, virtual and desk inspections at component & system suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier non-conformance handling and implement corrective actions; monitor supplier KPIs and adjust quality planning accordingly.
• Facilitate supplier-qualification and development-status meetings; identify potential risks.
• Work with SQE tools and databases, ensuring data quality and transparency.

What You Bring

• Degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering or similar field.
• Technical experience with industrial processes/auxiliary systems in power plants preferred.
• Solid experience in quality or supply-chain management.
• Experience in supplier audits; ISO 9001 knowledge required, ISO 14001/45001 advantageous.
• Proficient in root-cause analysis and risk-management methods.
• Strong written and verbal English skills; willingness to travel ~30 % (Europe).
