Embedded Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

The Role
During this 12-week, full-time internship (May/June–August 2026) you will own a safety-critical embedded module—from requirements and design to test and global deployment—within our autonomous aircraft and ground systems.

Past intern projects

• RF end-of-line test bench for flight-computer antennas
• Real-time coprocessor firmware for Linux camera subsystem
• High-rate voltage/current telemetry under RTOS
• Perception prototype for next-gen sensor suite
• Optimizing launch/landing for worldwide operations

What you’ll bring

• ≥ 2nd-year B.Sc. in EE, CS or CE (M.Sc./PhD welcome)
• Hands-on electromechanical or robotics experience
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python or Rust; Embedded Linux/RTOS
• Basic EE skills: schematics, scope, CAN/SPI/UART

Location & compensation
On-site in South San Francisco or Dallas. Hourly wage USD 38–42 gross plus housing stipend and additional benefits.
