Senior Tax Manager (m/f/d)

SMA’s Global Tax team in Kassel is looking for a Senior Tax Manager to handle complex tax matters and ensure tax compliance across the group.

Global Tax is responsible for tax control and compliance at SMA. Working closely with Finance, Legal and our international subsidiaries, we view taxes as part of corporate responsibility. You will prepare tax calculations, manage tax audits, file returns and inter-company reports on time and provide group-wide advice on tax-relevant projects.

Your tasks:

• Tax support for German and foreign subsidiaries
• Sparring partner for colleagues and the Head of Tax
• Help shape our international transfer-pricing policy and documentation
• Support reorganisations and SAP roll-outs abroad
• Manage tax and special audits (wage & VAT)
• Advise German group companies on income, trade and VAT
• Calculate tax expense for local and consolidated accounts
• Prepare and review tax returns
• Lead and support appeals and litigation
• Deliver internal tax training

Your profile:

• Degree in business or law with tax focus
• At least 5 years’ experience in tax advisory or industry
• Solid knowledge of German and international tax law
• German tax adviser qualification preferred
• Negotiation-level English
• Self-reliant, reliable, team-oriented
