Join us as VP Embedded Systems Engineering (all genders) and shape the autonomous mobility of tomorrow!

As part of the Volkswagen Group, MOIA is building scalable Level-4 autonomous vehicle platforms for Mobility- and Transport-as-a-Service. As VP Embedded Systems Engineering you take full ownership of the hardware and software architecture, integration, validation and release of embedded systems across vehicle, backend and mobility services.

Your responsibilities

• Define and execute the embedded-systems strategy for an SAE Level-4 autonomous vehicle concept
• Lead multiple cross-functional teams (software, hardware, test, connectivity) with 80+ staff
• Ensure functional safety (ISO 26262), cybersecurity and regulatory compliance
• Manage internal and external stakeholders (VW Group, technology partners, Tier-1 suppliers)
• Own large-scale budgeting, project planning and strategic resource allocation
• Scout and implement future-proof, scalable technologies
• Represent MOIA in technical boards and act as ambassador for all embedded topics

Your profile

• Proven leadership in automotive embedded-systems development, ideally Level-3/4 autonomy
• Track record of shipping complex embedded systems from concept to production
• Deep expertise in embedded software & hardware architecture, system integration and test strategies
• Solid knowledge of ISO 26262, automotive cybersecurity and homologation standards
• Experience leading large, diverse engineering organizations in complex stakeholder settings
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate across brands and board levels
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on attitude and high-stakes decision making
• Fluent English; German is a strong plus
