Logistics Manager – Vestas Isle of Wight Blades Factory, Newport

Lead the logistics team at a 24/7 offshore-wind plant and secure end-to-end material flow for rotor-blade manufacturing.

The Isle of Wight Blades Factory on the River Medina produces rotor blades for offshore projects worldwide; over 300 employees work across two sites (West Medina Mills and logistics hub).

Your responsibilities

• Full ownership of planning compliance: inbound material to outbound finished blades
• Drive KPI reviews with clear escalation, cost and team management
• Validate and implement production plans considering capacity and customer commitments

Your profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience
• Lean Six Sigma Black/Green Belt with proven results
• Leadership training (internal/external) and several years in manufacturing operations

Competencies

• End-to-end logistics execution (inbound, warehouse, line-feeding, outbound) to safeguard delivery dates
• Alignment with production planning, procurement, transport and quality; clear escalation and resolution of cross-functional issues
• Capacity management and flexible resource allocation during bottlenecks
• Leadership strengths: decision quality, results orientation, team-building and trust
