Vehicle Procurement Manager

About the Role

Join Octopus Electric Vehicles as our Vehicle Procurement Manager and drive the transition to zero-emission transport. You will own direct procurement from leading automotive OEMs, translating forecasts into high-impact purchasing strategies that secure the best pricing, volume and commercial terms while maintaining resilient supply chains.

What you’ll do

• Lead end-to-end procurement for assigned OEMs; negotiate pricing, volume commitments, lead times and contract terms.
• Act as primary commercial contact for OEM and dealer partners, resolving supply constraints swiftly.
• Convert Planning-team forecasts and market data into actionable purchasing plans.
• Track OEM performance, flag risks and continuously improve cost, quality and delivery metrics.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance and Senior Leadership to align procurement with hyper-growth targets.
• Ensure seamless order-to-delivery journeys for customers across the UK.

What you’ll need

• Proven procurement or supply-chain experience; automotive/OEM exposure preferred.
• Demonstrated success in complex commercial negotiations and high-value contracts.
• Strong analytical skills—comfortable turning data into winning sourcing strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management: from C-suite to dealers and factory partners.
• Proactive problem-solver who anticipates bottlenecks and acts fast.
• Sound commercial acumen and understanding of financial drivers.

Work Environment

Hybrid: 2 days per week in our Weybridge or London offices, plus occasional UK & international travel. A full UK driving licence is essential.
