Electrical Field Service Engineer

Your Day at a Glance

Siemens Energy is looking for a qualified and motivated Excitation Field Service Engineer to strengthen our Controls Group in Pune, India. You will be responsible for maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting of excitation systems in power plants and industrial facilities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot excitation systems
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimum performance
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software related faults
• Train and support customers and end users
• Co-operate with engineering teams to develop customer-specific solutions
• Create detailed service reports and technical documentation
• Comply with all safety regulations on site
• Keep up to date with industry trends and technology developments

What You Bring

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification
• 3–5 years of field service experience, ideally with excitation systems
• Solid knowledge of electrical engineering, power generation and control systems
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic and test equipment plus related software
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and customer orientation
• Willingness to travel frequently both domestically and internationally
• Valid driving licence and ability to obtain travel documents
