IT Inhouse Consultant POS & Payment Systems

Your responsibilities

• Design and continuous improvement of POS solutions (checkout, payment, fiscalisation) in a multi-store grocery environment
• Translate business requirements into technical concepts and manage implementation with internal teams and external vendors
• Coordinate vendors and manufacturers (POS software, payment providers, hardware, fiscal middleware)
• Participate in projects: POS roll-outs, proof of concepts, system migrations
• Create release, test and roll-out plans
• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer and 2nd-level support to business units
• Work in hybrid and agile product/project structures

Your profile

• Degree in IT, business informatics or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience as (in-house) consultant, ideally in POS / retail
• Sound knowledge of centralised POS systems in multi-store grocery retail
• Good understanding of checkout & payment processes, POS architectures and relevant interfaces (ERP, payment, loyalty)
• Basic knowledge of modern IT architectures (Java, APIs, databases) and Windows administration & PowerShell
• Analytical, structured and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills and fluent German and English
