Development Engineer – Mechanical Installation (Piping)

This position is open to candidates legally authorised to work in Singapore (Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents). No visa sponsorship is available.

As part of our 19-member, open-minded team you will cooperate with numerous internal and external interfaces. You may specialise in piping design or mechanical integrity (MI) or grow into a coordinating role for development projects. Our team owns all installation design for R&D projects and all MI piping tasks for both R&D and customer projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Design piping systems and create manufacturing data in NX together with related technical documentation
• Contribute to product standards, technical solutions and functions, ensuring cost-effective and quality-assured designs
• Co-operate with procurement and suppliers to develop solid technical solutions, solve generic issues including root-cause analyses and update documentation
• Handle installation topics in order projects using the 3-D tool NX
• Together with the project team keep design work on schedule
• Create, review and update investigations/documentation in your technical area
• Co-operate with customer order and sales departments in your technical area

What You Bring

• MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or comparable knowledge/experience
• Solid knowledge of common norms and standards for process and mechanical engineering, especially PED and ASME
• Piping design and piping stress-calculation experience is meritorious
• Very good English skills; Swedish is an advantage
• You thrive in a changing environment with many challenges and enjoy working in a multicultural setting
• Strong interest in technology and learning
• Excellent team player, structured, driven, proactive, able to prioritise and organise work efficiently
• Solution-oriented with strong ownership of tasks
