Functional Safety Manager in Project (FSMiP)

Your Day at a Glance
As an experienced engineer you will make a decisive contribution to the successful completion of our projects in a highly motivated team. As FSMiP you ensure that Siemens Energy delivers safe, high-quality and reliable solutions in the field of control and instrumentation. You act independently in I&C modernization and new-build projects and ensure full compliance with recognized rules and standards for functional safety (IEC 61511) throughout all project phases. You are also an active member of the FSMiP community and share your knowledge to continuously develop the functional safety management process.
Your Responsibilities
• Advise project teams on all aspects of functional safety, monitor safety-relevant activities and initiate improvement measures
• Ensure compliance with IEC 61511 in I&C modernization and new-build projects
• Implement and maintain the internal functional safety management process and related documentation
• Qualify project team members and subcontractors in the area of functional safety
• Carry out verifications and internal audits on all relevant safety life-cycle phases, support external audits
Your Profile
• Completed technical degree (electrical, automation, power, mechanical or process engineering) or comparable education
• Certification according to IEC 61511
• In-depth knowledge of IEC 61511 and experience in practical application
• Ideally, successfully completed projects as FSMiP
• Experience in power-plant process technology and extensive expertise in functional safety
• Strong judgment, negotiation skills and assertiveness; excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Business-fluent English, German an advantage
